Hello kids. Have you tried salmon for dinner? It is a great choice.
Salmon is high in vitamins, nutrition and protein. And of course it is suuuuuuper yummy 🙂
Try our baked honey-sriracha salmon. Sriracha is a mild hot sauce or chili sauce. Combined with the taste of honey it will give your salmon a yummy sweet & spicy kick. And by baking it we don't add any additional oil or calories.

  • Prep: 15 mins
  • Cook: 15 mins
  • Yields: 1 serving of salmon

Directions

1Sriracha is a mild hot sauce or chili sauce. You can get it at most grocery stores in the spice section. If you cannot find it and you want to use a different hot sauce, please be careful. Most hot sauces are spicier and you would need about half the amount.

2Make sure your salmon is fresh, bright in color and that it doesn't smell too "fishy", which means that it wouldn't be fresh. The skin should be off.

3For the marinade combine the ginger, garlic, soy sauce, honey, sriracha and salt in a medium bowl. Mix it all together with a spoon and let the marinade sit for about 10 minutes so that all of the flavors can come out. In the meantime preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

4While your marinade sits for 10 minutes prepare a baking tray with some non-stick spray and place the salmon on it.

5Also get your other ingredients ready, such as the chopped green onions and the sesame seeds.

6With a spoon cover the salmon with the honey-sriracha marinade. (keep about 2 tsp for later) Try not to get too much on the baking tray. It could burn on the tray. When the salmon is all covered put in the oven and set the timer to 15 minutes.

7Once the timer goes off your salmon is done. With a spatula lift it from the baking tray right onto your dinner plate, sprinkle the green onions and the sesame seeds on top and drizzle some of the remaining marinade around the plate. Enjoy.

8Wooooaw! Doesn't that salmon look delicious?! And it is so healthy. What kind of vegetables do you eat it with? Send me some pictures, please 🙂
