You know the feeling…it is three o’clock in the afternoon, your stomach is growling and your energy is out the window. But wasn’t it just lunchtime?
So what do to if you’re low on energy and you need a little energy boost, but dinner is nowhere near yet? Here is the secret… Healthy Snacks!
Between the three main meals of the day Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner it is recommended to have one or two healthy snacks to keep your metabolism going, your energy and concentration level high and to supply your body with extra vitamins and nutrition.
A snack should be big enough to give you energy for an hour or two, but small enough so you will not get too full for the next meal. And who likes to miss out on dinner, right?
The key word is HEALTHY. So no chocolate, sodas or potato chips, please. These kinds of “snacks” probably taste great, but they are full of empty calories and they will only give your body a quick sugar rush or make you feel even more tired.
We put together a few fun snack ideas for you. Let us know what you think.
