Egg Salad Sandwich

Hello Kids. Here is another one from our Quick & Tasty section. A delicious EGG SALAD SANDWICH. Egg salad is very tasty, it is easy to make and it is high on protein. Since it stays good for a few days you can make it ahead of time so you can prep your lunch sandwich in no time 🙂

  • Prep: 20 mins
  • Yields: 1 egg salad sandwich


1Make sure you have all the items that you need prepped and in front of you before you start mixing your salad. If you don't have hard-boiled eggs available you need to boil the eggs first. Make sure they are cooled down before you chop them. (TIP: If you need help with making hard-boiled eggs please read the article "how to make hard-boiled eggs" in the How To... section )

2Once you have all of your items together you can put everything into a bowl...

3...and mix everything together with a kitchen spoon (or a spatula).

4To assemble your sandwich place one slice of bread on the cutting board. (you can toast it if you like). If you like to add ham or turkey put a few slices on the bread. It will give your sandwich more flavor and nutrition and it will prevent the bread from getting soggy. Now spread your egg salad right on top and cover it with the other bread slice. If you like to give your sandwich a fun shape you cut it with a cookie cutter.

2 slices of whole-wheat bread (or toast)

2 hard-boiled eggs (chopped)

2 tsp mayo (low-fat)

1 tsp mustard (Dijon)

1 tsp yoghurt

a pinch of salt/pepper/paprika

1 tsp green onions or chives (chopped)

a few slices of ham or turkey (optional)


1 cutting board

1 chef knife

1 medium-size mixing bowl (metal or plastic)

1 kitchen spoon
