Sweet potatoes are full of flavor and nutrition and they are super easy to make. You can have them as a snack, a side dish for lunch or dinner or serve them with a few fun dips on your birthday party. Roasting them instead of frying make them a lot healthier and tastier than regular french fries 🙂

  • Prep: 15 mins
  • Cook: 25 mins
  • Yields: 4 servings

Directions

1Pick sweet potatoes that are firm and bright in color. Wash and dry them before cutting. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2On a cutting board cut the potatoes into long strips. The way you do this is to cut the potato in half (the long way) and then in half again. Giving you 4 long strips.

3Put the potato strips in a bowl and get the other ingredients ready. Drizzle the oil and sprinkle the seasoning over the potatoes.

4With a kitchen spoon toss everything thoroughly.

5Prepare a baking tray with baking paper (non-stick/wax) and place the potato strips on it. It's ok if they touch, but please don't pile them on top of each other. They wouldn't roast evenly. Put the tray into the preheated oven and set the timer to 20 minutes.

6After 20 minutes your potatoes are done and you can take the tray out of the oven.

7Serve them any way you like. Maybe as a side dish for dinner, a healthy snack or with a side of ketchup for your birthday party...

8Wow! Don't those sweet potatoes look super yummy? Enjoy 🙂
